It’s Been a Minute… Here’s an Update

Well, it’s been quite sometime since I’ve gotten around to writing a blog post. Life has been BUSY. Bruno was staying home with the baby while I worked this last season of Let’s Make A Deal, and now I’m back home to focus on life and family for a bit!

This past season at work had some ups and downs for me. It was my first full season as a working mom, which definitely required some adjusting, but I’m really grateful for Bruno for holding the fort down at home while I figured it all out. Adding the additional stress of childcare at the point would NOT have been helpful for me, LOL.

Now that I am home and this most recent season of Deal is airing, I am getting ready to update my website with some new work! This season I surprised myself with a lot of really fun projects — like a gummy bear lamp, a cactus disco ball, and a giant ear of corn! I built an animal petting zoo, gave a doll a pink Mohawk, and I bought myself a Cricut! So I played around and came up with some creative ways to use it for my work. I recorded a bunch of process videos of me making things this season, so maybe I will share on here if I get around to it.

But the biggest update as of right now: we’re planning a wedding! Finally! After being engaged for nearly 2 years, we finally started planning for our April 2023 wedding on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

And if you know anything about me, you probably know I wanted to do so many projects for this wedding. I think the fact that we are planning a Maryland wedding from California is keeping me in check on how many projects I can realistically take on. I’ll try to share more of my planning process in another post, and I will DEFINITELY be sharing photos from the wedding with a whole run down and explanation of how I did it all.

In the meantime, here are some of our engagement photos, taken by our amazing wedding photographer, Sarah Brookhart. Sarah is based out of PA but happed to have a trip planned to California before we booked her! That may or may not have had a factor in our decision making process…. I love the idea of getting photos taken on both coasts. And look how cute these family pictures turned out! OBSESSED.

But there’s more! After the in home portraits, we left the baby with my aunt and headed up towards the Griffith Observatory. At least that was our plan… We had to park really far away and on our way up the hill, I spotted a little trail that happened to lead to a gorgeous outlook! We got really lucky with the weather because it had been raining so much that week (funny enough for LA.) The weather cleared up just enough for us to shoot on a beautiful, green landscape (thanks to that uncommon abundance of rain!)

And then Bruno and Atticus both got haircuts!! So our next set of family photos will be in Maryland, on our wedding day, with two handsome, gentlemen. I can’t wait!!

Until next time—

Eden
